Putting the pieces together

After managing to put the rough cut of the title sequence together I tried to join this section of the programme to the interviews that we did with PC Donna Harding. This wasnt as easy as I thought it would be.

Instead of doing the interview continuously, we stopped recording after clip. When we tried to put this together it did not flow smoothly enough and it was obvious that it had been edited together. Considering that ITV NEWs programmes are usually recorded live it was not an option for us to have jumps between shots, the video has to look as real life as possible.

I looked at several different transistions that could possibly be put in the footage to help it flow better, but did not think that any looked realistic enough. This proved to be a problem.

Next lesson I plan too look and see if there are any possible ways that I can make the footage look more realistic while at the same time running as smoothly as possible.
